Uzun & Case maintains a comprehensive library of structural design software, enabling us to handle our client’s most challenging problems. This allows us to quickly study alternative solutions to a problem in order to arrive at the most appropriate solution. Because software is linked to our CAD system, it enables us to expedite construction document production. Yet we realize that software is a tool, and not a substitute for the judgment of experienced engineers. The basis of our expertise is the knowledge of our people. Uzun and Case was an early adopter of BIM technology. Each of our five studios has multiple BIM experts who have been formally trained in Revit and are experienced with implementing BIM on projects. We are experienced with issues related to division of ownership of building components by discipline, coordination and communications protocols, and ensuring high quality graphic output from the BIM model. In addition, Revit models are fully integrated with our structural design software, resulting in a design process which is efficient, accurate and flexible.
